Idk why it took me so long to make the #ZadieJumps

Idk why it took me so long to make the #ZadieJumpsuit but I’m glad I finally did it!! I’m utterly obsessed, and completely understand why it had a cult following here on insta; it’s so easy to wear, the wrap front makes it comfortable, and honestly? I look hot af in it!! A win!! Thanks to #SewAJumpsuitChallenge for pushing me to finally make this (I’ve had this specific fabric to make this specific jumpsuit for over 2 years… whoops) 💖

I made this in a size 24 bust graded to a size 28 at the waist and hips. That IS the largest size, so it’s not the most inclusive pattern (I hope that changes though!). Max measurements are: 56”, 47.5”, 57.5” . I made this one in an ecovero twill from @BlackbirdFabrics (one of their first original print lines) and it works so well for this jumpsuit!

Unintentionally dressed like the bi flag today, I’m not mad about it.

Also! First grid appearance of my purple #TFSPoppyCoat by @MakeByTFS !! I made a size 20 (2 sizes down from my measurements) because it’s so oversized and it fits like a dream. The only thing I would change is moving the welt pockets up about 1.5”, so I’ll keep that in mind for my next one. Purple wool fabric is deadstock from @WeAreTheFabricStore I bought last year (or maybe even 2021), lining is a Lady McElroy silk from @StonemountainFabric that I fell in love with while window shopping and could not get the combo out of my mind after that. The only things I need to finish for this coat are: sewing the right sleeve lining together (whoops) and doing the button hole + button!! I made a winter coat y’all!!!!

It’s supposed to get up to 70 degrees today (🤞🏻) so I obviously am dressing for it. Even did a little garden work to get ready for patio season, the epitome of ✨picnic bitch✨

Dress: Modified #SOISienaDress by @SewOverItLondon in a size 24 bust. I think I’ll write a blog post (wow) with my mods but basically: eliminated the front placket, changed the back to use the tie hack from the #TudorBlouse and then I cut 3 WOF x ideal length (I think I did 36”) panels for the skirt and gathered that baby up. For the back I did an elastic waist where it was open due to the tie, but I forget how much elastic I used; I just adjusted until it sat against my back without sagging from the weight of the fabric. Lined it all in some scrap silky fabric! I made this for a friend’s wedding and it is so twirly and fun, I always feel like a spring queen when I put it on ✨💐✨ Of course it’s in my fave #deadstock silk from @StonemountainFabric
